Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, could receive a fourth summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) asking him to participate in the probe into the purported money laundering case.

For the third time on Wednesday, Kejriwal had denied ever going before the ED, claiming that the organization’s “non-disclosure and non-responsive standpoint” is associated with the ED’s “stubbornness” and cannot withstand the examination of fairness, equity,

or justice. The part juries play, the role executioners play.

Security has been stepped up around Kejriwal’s home amid rumors of an impending arrest.

Kejriwal’s five-page statement to the Anti Money Laundering agency is currently being reviewed by them.

PTI sources state that the organization might serve Kejriwal with a fourth summons in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Hemant Soren and Kejriwal both raise the subject of whether they may be arrested.

The convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was placed under suspension on November 2, December 21, 2023, and January 3 of this year.

Leaders of the AAP have claimed that Kejriwal might be arrested by the ED if they raid his home. Even prior to the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the party voiced worries.

Arvind Kejriwal is adamant that “unnecessary secrecy” be upheld in the ED raid on his home in connection with the money laundering case.

However, Kejriwal is accused by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of “evading” the inquiry.

“AAP leaders are creating chaos by suggesting that their Chief Minister can be arrested at any time,” said Virender Sachdeva, President of the Delhi BJP. He is making noise now that he has stolen and behaved inappropriately.”

Bansuri Suraj, a BJP spokesman, claimed that Kejriwal was forgetting that he was subject to the law.

“Illegal” : They are dodging the CBI investigation in spite of three ED notices.

“Despite three ED notices, they are avoiding the CBI probe.”. They express no desire to participate in the inquiry,” stated Suraj.

Allegations have been made that the Delhi government’s Excise Policy for licensing liquor dealers for the fiscal year 2021–2022 permitted cartelization and provided backing for it.

from a few dealers who supposedly accepted bribes for it. AAP has refuted these claims on several occasions.

Chief Minister of Delhi BJP reprimands ED summons in Excise matter, saying “Legacy will determine…”

Later on, this policy was withdrawn, and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi suggested that the CBI look into the matter. In response, the ED filed a case under the PMLA.
