India will compete in the group stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and co-host America, according to the schedule officially confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday.

America and Canada will play their first match in June, while the Barbados final is set for June 29. On June 9 in New York City, the newest development in the fierce rivalry between India and Pakistan will take place.

Although India had defeated Pakistan in the first edition in 2007, they would go on to win the trophy in 2009.

Group B comprises Scotland, Namibia, Oman, and the two finalist countries, Australia and England. Following the victory in the Western championship

The host nation of the Indies, England, won in Melbourne in 2022 by defeating Pakistan in the championship match.

Group C comprises Afghanistan, New Zealand, and the West Indies, who are hosting the competition for the second time. Group D comprises South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka.

The United States will hold the ICC World Cup for the first time over three locations, while the West Indies, who are hosting the competition for the second time, will use six venues for the matches. This is the first time cricket has been included in the Olympics since it was first introduced in Los Angeles four years ago.
